FAQ

  • Is Taekwondo safe for kids and beginners?
Absolutely! Classes focus on proper technique, controlled movements, and discipline. Beginners and children especially train with safety in mind, often using protective gear during sparring.
  • What age can children start?
Our school accept kids as young as 4, while others begin at 6 or even 3.5 years—depending on their ability to focus and follow instructions.
  • Do I need prior experience to join?
No experience needed! We welcome all skill levels—from total beginners to advanced students. Introductory classes ensure everyone starts off safely and confidently.
  • What should I wear to my first class?
Begin with comfortable workout gear (t-shirt, track pants/shorts). Once enrolled, you'll receive a traditional dobok uniform. No shoes are worn on the mat.
  • How often should I or my child train?
For steady progress, 2–3 classes per week is ideal. Some students training for tests or competitions may attend more frequently.
  • Can adults with no athletic background start?
Definitely! People of all ages and fitness levels can begin Taekwondo. Classes build strength, flexibility, and confidence gradually.
  • What is the belt system?
You start at white and advance through colored belts—yellow, green, blue, red—toward black.
  • Is competition mandatory?
Competitions are totally optional. While some students enjoy it, others prefer focusing on personal development, fitness, and self-defense.
